I remember getting Rap Pages back in the day and seeing the add for Blunt Records releases and noticed Crooked Lettaz’s (David Banner & Kamikaze) album Grey Skies. Being from Mississippi and having moved to Colorado a few years before I was very excited to get my hands on this album. It proved to be a little harder than I imagined. After never being able to find release info and then receiving wrong date after wrong date, the day finally came. My special order came in at Disc Jockey, I got the phone call that it was in and rushed to the bus to get to the mall before they closed. Mission Accomplished, that ride back home was a memorable one. The sort of thing that makes you appreciate the portable CD player. I even exited a few stops before mine so I could walk home and finish the album…….There were some memorable tracks on it, The first was “Get Crunk” featuring Houston rapper Pimp C…..The second was “Fire Water” which featured Noreaga of C-N-N and I was only 2 songs in….for about 3 months my favorite thing to quote was “I’m like Megatron, the underground rap shit phenomenon” – David Banner on “Fire Water” I still break the album out quite often and listen to it…Enjoy

 While David Banner has become a household name in the world of Hip Hop, Kamikaze has also mantained within the music scene and has a new group Storage 24, a Rock/Hip Hop style project.
