Van Hunt is back with a new album called What Were You Hoping For? After the mediocre reception from his new-label, Blue Note, of his last album Popular, he brings us a rock-infused collection of tracks, that I must say I’m pretty impressed with so far. “Eyes Like Pearls” is his lead-single, but I think the opening track “North Hollywood” sets a really nice tone for the entire album. The album gives me a sense of a more polished Headphone Masterpiece, there are a couple misses on it, but mostly a solid effort. I suggest getting over to Itunes and at least giving it a shot. It might be just what you’re missing today
