If you ever had the chance to see a Procussion’s show you know that the chemistry and music these guys are capable of is undeniably excellent. Hailing from Colorado Springs, before the fires started. They toured with a who’s who in the hip hop world. They crafted two decidedly solid efforts, the second 5 Sparrows for 2 cents on the relaunch of Rawkus Records. The achieved much critical acclaim, however, the label wasn’t prepared to compete in a market place that had changed so much. Fast forward several years and the Procussions haven’t released anything under that moniker since. It was announced last month that they would be returning to their home state and performing together, the last incarnation of the group that is. Stro Elliot and Mr J Medeiros, who have been working together since the split of the group, will be taking the stage together for 3 dates while in Colorado. Click on the pic below for details. On the eve of those shows, starting on July 6th, Mr J Medeiros drops his ode to Colorado, produced by Stro Elliot. With the chaos going on in the state, it’s even more of an anthem right now.
