Tech drops a video for the title track from his E.P. E.B.A.H. which will be dropping on September 18th. Tech demands you recognize his name as E.B.A.H., which stands for Evil Brain Angel Heart, which is a pretty accurate assessment of Tech and his music. He says some outlandish stuff sometimes but always manages to bring a message back around before the song ends.
“I was sent from above, but I landed in blood” – Describes Tech about his exile to this world….
Houseshoes debut album, Let It Go, is out now and it represents some real hip-hop ish. The album is laced with goodness, but this is definitely my favorite track. Danny catches wreck on all 2 minutes and some change of the track. Dropping gem after gem until you’re pretty much just ready to concede defeat when the song ends and sends you on your way. Detroit, stand all the way up! If you have no purchased Houseshoes album, run out to iTunes or where ever your disrespectful self picks up music and make immediate amends for your transgressions.
“So hood, blow blunts with my baby momma’s new baby daddy” – end of story
El De Menace, the black John McClane, and the water-proof Emcee would have been one hell of a super group. Ras Kass was lyrically murdering cats, Saafir was an emcee’s emcee, and Xzibit had the voice and charisma. What would have happened would have been epic, however, Priority Records……….We can only sit back and wonder what could have happened? Would it have been enough for Xzibit’s Open Bar record label to gain some ground and influence? Would it have affected his career at MTV with “Pimp my Ride”? Who knows, recently the 3 joined up at Rock The Bells for a blast from the past. Xzibit’s “Picture yourself crushing Xzibit with your tough talk, that’s like Christopher Reeves doing the crip walk” still holds up well with time, if you ask me.
“Plastic Surgery” – From Xzibit’s debut album 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz
“N.B.A. Showtime” – Supposed to be on Ras Kass’ Van Gogh, then on Golden Chyld production by Rockwilder, features a sample from the NBA on NBC theme song, which had shut down the groups use of the name Golden State Warriors, causing them to change it to The Golden State Project
“Bounce, Rock, Golden State” – From the Training Day soundtrack
