The Procussions, off the heels of their new self-titled album, release a new in 5th entry in their Pro-Exclusive series. The series is an effort to connect with their fans by offering free songs which were not intended in to be included on any projects. The result here is “Lush”, a song in response to the rising troubles of sexual exploitation. Mr J Medeiros has a history of tacking the subject. On his 2006 release Of Gods and Girls, he recorded Constance (Click here for the video), the story of a 13 year old Filipina being sold for sex. Alice Amelia sings beautifully and hauntingly on the hook “It’s the eyes that betray you. They were never your best friends. Two liars with the same truth. But the touch don’t pretend”. It’s an industry that destroys and it’s consuming at an alarming rate. I applaud anyone who steps up and addresses these issues.
