The day after Valentine’s Day of the year 2014, Jordan will be releasing what I’m calling “The next pair of Js I’ll actually buy” I still hate the fact they don’t have “Nike Air” on the back……I know, I know, shut up all ready, but hey…..it’s my post. These are still pretty nice, and they make me miss my OG Black/Infrareds………..like a lot…aside from being so visually appealing, I think these are the most comfortable Jordans for me….Just a great shoe..can’t wait for the 2238783424378 different colorways to drop next year which will make me sick to death of the shoe altogether. But, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Long live Daptone Records!! For Record Store Day this year they released a 7″ for Charles’ new single “Changes” off his Victim of Love album. The B-side to the album was this little ditty, “Ain’t it a Sin” which Charles Bradley recorded with his original backing band, The Bullets. Ode To Reasonable Doubt

In honor of Jigga’s 44th birthday yesterday Skyzoo and Antman Wonder linked up for their take on Jay’s debut album. Antman Wonder, a composer from Philly, recreated the original tracks with some live instrumentation. Skyzoo recreated the original tracks lyrically by taking the emotion created by SC and recreating the content from his perspective. The result is a very refreshing version of a classic album. These types of things can go one of two ways, they are either incredibly successful or they are painfully terrible. This is certainly nowhere near terrible. Check it out and decide for yourself. Sidenote : I listened to “Meet The Presidents” multiple times before I could finish the album……

You can tell so much about a person by the way they smile. There is nothing I can add to this and nothing I can say that is worthy of all that Mr. Mandela accomplished in his lifetime. Nor can I properly put in to perspective the amount of gratitude that the world owes the man for his sacrifices. We should all be so lucky to accomplish so much. Rest in eternal peace sir…
