“I heard your album and I don’t believe a word of it”
Today’s TOD is dedicated to all you “trap”, “crip and/or blood”, “glock bustin'” “rappers”. Taken from Bronx rapper Nine’s sophomore release Cloud 9 and it rings even more true today and it did back in ’96. 9MM, as he was originally known, had a very distinct voice and moderate success with his first release Nine Livez but Cloud 9 did not live up to expectations. Profile records released his first two album, but when it was sold in ’97, that left Nine essentially without a home. In 2009, he finally released his third album Quinine.
