Kwabs “Wrong or Right” gets a video treatment. Never be afraid to do what the music moves you to do. Artistic expression takes on many different shapes. Being an individual is a beautiful thing, do not let anyone tell you different. This is what “Bad” would look like in a video made today.
JAMLA IS THE SQUAD, drops next week on January 28th. In anticipation 9th recruits some of the Hip-Hop world’s best spittas over some classic Khrysis musical melodies. So soulful, so excellent, so Hip-Hop. Just when one can lose their mind over another Trinidad James track dropping, we get some redemption like this.
Tragic Hero is a emcee from New Jersey drops a new single from a forthcoming project. There are no details on the follow up to last year’s Resistance album, which saw the rapper collaborate with producer Wes Pendleton. “Heart of A Hustler” was produced by Joe Logic and Dilemma X and showcases Tragic’s unique vocal style. The beat is heavy and delicate in all the right places, allowing Tragic to speak his story of self reflection without interruption. If you like what you hear, click on the link below and check out the project he did with Wes Pendleton.
Jackson, Mississippi’s J Da Groova introduced himself working on Crooked Lettaz “Chicken & Swine” and David Banner’s “Bring It On”. Now it’s time to “Come Home” off The Dark Matter Chronicles.
Forget historical accuracy and realistic depictions of past events. All we need are air brushed abs, slow motion screen shots, Black Sabbath, and blood splatter. 300: Rise Of An Empire promises to deliver on the second set of guidelines. I’ll be honest I almost stopped this until the Black Sabbath started, then I was like “YEAHHHHH and kicked over my desk…..” Movie wise? It’ll be worth a rental…maybe a rainy Sunday matinee, when Football season is over.
BlackCollar is KB iMean, Famous, and Rone Jeremy. KB iMean is 1/2 of the critically acclaimed Malcolm & Martin and Famous + Rone Jeremy are collectively known as NevaMind. In anticipation of BlackCollar’s full length album Half A Peace Sign, they will be releasing The Black Tape mixtape soon. “#Rappers” is their announcement to their peers that they are coming. While I am not familiar with the work of NevaMind, I am very familiar with KB iMean and the dude can spit. I’m not talking “Oh yeah my man can rap, spit” I’m talking “Melt the wax off your turntables, form that wax into bullets, clip em, load up the AK and murder your favorite rappers, SPIT”. Off that alone, this has immediately jumped up to the top of my most anticipated list.
Elan Brio drops visuals for his new single “I Love The Way” from the forth coming album Expiration Date. More information at www.NewH2O.com.
