“Anyway” the latest song to get released from one of the most anticipated releases of 2014. Phil Beaudreau’s Ether has certainly lived up to the expectations. Beaudreau, who plays all the instruments on the album, and producer Dawaun Porter crafted an incredible masterpiece with this record. This is just a small taste of the incredible piece of work, don’t believe me? Click below and check it out.
David Banner speaks and presents a short documentary at Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. I can’t really add much to this, so just check it out. Directed by Pauline Dyer and worth every second you spend watching. I will add this actually, I believe wholly in what David said, we should never believe someone just because they say. We should always be willing to do the homework and study to discover the truth for ourselves. That’s the only way that we will believe what we believe.
HerFavColor drops a mix of some of his best features on Soul Amazing (Part Two) available now on his Bandcamp page. Blu is steadily proving the fact that he is heads and tails above most the emcee pool.
Finally the most wanted colorway of the Adidas Mutumbo signature shoe can be yours. Or rather MINE! I haven’t been a fan of the other colorways in this shoe, but I do happen to love this Denver Nugget scheme. I tried to track down a pic of him rocking them and finally I did, it’s water marked but whatever. It’s a very clean colorway, white leather with the royal blue accents and a touch of yellow and red as well as the traditional Congo style print. Nicely done Adidas, you got this one right.
Another excellent mashup/remix/edit from Big Boi’s Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors album. Seems Andre Patton is getting ready for these Outkast shows and his next album. Going to be a big year. Here we get Dre’s “Gossip” assisted by Krizzle, Bun and Chad mixed with Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla” I think I dig this one a little more than the Sade track that dropped before.
New Orlean’s rapper The Wave, p.k.a. K. Gates, flips the D-boy stigma into Do Right U Gain Success (D.R.U.G.S.). Coming from a emcee who has lived some of the things these other so called rappers talk about it means something more. The D-Boy lifestyle leads to one of two places, a casket or a cage. The Wave seems to be taking the message further than the track, with a clothing line declaring the acronym. You can check out a video teaser for the track here. Be on the lookout for Million Dollar Day dropping in February.
