It’s no Timbo x Bubba K, but I’m not all that mad at the man. Because it’s also no Ms Fat Booty, and that’s a good thing. This has always been Bubba’s lane to reach the masses. Nobody can argue that Bubba can’t spit, there is a family of Dungeon style fellas in the GA who would refute that claim. On Deliverance this style of mixing country elements with Bubba’s voice was explored and it was critically acclaimed. Timbaland’s production also had a lot to do with it as well. The album might not have done the numbers it should have but people respected it. On his newest album Pain Management, Sparxxx dives deeper into the fusion of rap and country. He obviously is not the pioneer in this, but he does have the sound to bridge the two. “Right” features Rodney Atkins on the hook and Bubba spitting some retrospective lyrics the type which made Deliverance such a hit. His laid back smooth vocals fit perfect with some country guitar, maybe a little violin, shoot even a banjo or two.
