Twenty years of Nas’ Illmatic, the album still holds up today like it did then. Nas and Jay on stage together is still big to me. Diddy, though….meh…his looks like he just wants to lip sync and dance…..
Cali OBSRVR + One camera + New Orleans = Music Video. No gimmicks, no fancy camera equipment. Just Cali OBSRVR walking around in New Orleans visiting some of the cities finer landmarks and describing his love for Hip-Hop along the way. “More Than Music” comes from Cali OBSRVR’s latest album The Untrained Eye and it’s produced by Pro Prospek and features singer Suave on the hook. Pure hip-hop done by an artist who not only loves what he does but loves the culture. This becomes apparent in the music he makes.
Detroit producer, Apollo Brown releases a short 3 track instrumental EP today in anticipation of the full length project Thirty Eight, which drops on April 29th via Mello Music Group. The Cigarette Burns EP, features 3 tracks from the project which Apollo describes as taking place somewhere between the heroin laced 70s and the crack filled 80s landscapes. It is also free to download, so you have zero excuses for not grabbing this. I can’t think of a better way to describe it. I’m looking forward to this drop as you should probably be doing too. His reworking of the Gensu Dean x Planet Asia project titled Stitched Up was great.
Summertime versions of Nike Air Max 1 called the Breathe Collection will be available on May 1st. These are designed with new light weight materials and allow for better airflow. If you are a new comer to the Air Max 1 world, this is already one of the most comfortable shoes Nike ever produced. I highly suggest coping a pair or 10 this summer. I’m sure we could see some tier one and zero versions of these as well as some other QS.
