Vintage Noize is a collective of emcees who call Mississippi’s state capital, Jackson, home. A group of hard working and talented rappers, producers, and music professionals that consists of 7even:Thirty, James Crow, 5th Child, Ulogy, and new-comer Jaxx City. Recently, Jackson independent record label, Elegant Trainwreck/Homework Town Records, announced that Jaxx City had joined their roster. Already putting out records for 5th Child (Love Letters & Suicide Notes) and James Crow (Religion, Guns & Money), this move makes perfect sense. They also announced that NoGood Nick would be the title of the official Homework Town release from Jaxx City, dropping later this summer.

It’s Ok To Eat Broken Glass is, if I may put it simply, a perfectly funky introduction to how nice Jaxx
am errr, is. If you have seen him perform around town you have come away knowing only one thing, it is that Jaxx pours his heart into his music. He is the reflection of the city of Jackson that he lays claim to via moniker. The pulse of the city beats with each punchline he delivers. He paints a vivid stained glass masterpiece of the world as he sees it over 5th Child production. If Vintage Noize is a crew of capable yet distinguishable artists similar to the clan of the Wu, then Jaxx plays the role of the Ol’ Dirty Bastard. He’ll say some stuff that will offend a sailor in one line and drop some serious knowledge on you with the next. The transition is seamless too. It’s second nature to the Jacksonian. After the first listen, one thing is painfully obvious. It’s Ok To Eat Broken Glass it will leave you wanting more, much more.
The beautiful thing is, you do not have to take my word for it. Click the link below, download the album FOR FREE!!!!!!! And check it out yourself.
While I cannot confirm or deny the fact that it would be alright for you to consume the broken shards of glass sitting in front of you, I can confirm that Jaxx City makes it seem like a perfectly healthy idea.
