New Orleans rapper Dee-1 spits magnificently over some superb production from Mississippi’s 5th Child. The chemistry shared by these two is spot on. Mississippi and Louisiana mixes together like shrimp and grits. “Jason Geter” chronicles Dee-1’s mission to get his demo in the hands of one of the hip-hop industry’s most successful managers. Eventually accomplishing his goal, the meeting might not have led to fame and riches, but it made for a great song. Dee-1 is still bubblin’ and I can definitely see him being a force.
