Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9, and Joe Budden link up with Nottz and drop something new from their forthcoming album. The Slaughterhouse head, Royce, murks the ************** sample by the veteran VA producer. I will not be ratting, if you do not know the sample then go do some diggin’. Peace. #SwineFluMaskMusic
Zion I let loose visuals for the title track from the Masters Of Ceremony EP. Directed by the “Substance Over Hype” crew and featuring breakers, poppers, Cirque tricks, and martial artists, this is pretty much the feel you get from listening Amp Live’s production. It’s new age, golden era hip hop with a bay area funk to it. I’m coining that phrase by the way.
John Robinson (Lil Sci of Scienz Of Life) and PVD are joining together to release Modern Vintage on June 17th. Lyrically John Robinson is no joke, his versatile style comes across effortlessly. PVD is a producer/drummer/composer who brings the BOOM to the boom bap and the project. “Know My Style” is a brief introduction to how dope they are, tell your mother, tell your sister….you know how it goes. Be on the lookout for the album next month which features contributions from El Da Sensei, Sadat X, Melinda Camille, Shabaam Sahdeeq and more…….stay tuned for all the news.
Preemo calls upon the powers of the Beard Gang General, Jakk Frost. Session numero tres in Dj Premier’s Bars In The Booth series has the Philly veteran MC crushing some classic production from the Gang Starr OG.
“I get away with murder like I drive a white bronco”……..whelp……
Yaves is from Columbus, Ohio born emcee and his track “One Wish” is a personal and honest reflection by a young man trying to navigate the turbulent waters of life. The production is jazzy and smooth, it must be a Columbus thing, it has that J. Rawls feel to it. Solid track, keep tuned and we’ll keep you updated. For now, you can check out his website and his 2013 releases Favor Over Fury and In Autumn’s Ear.
