Skipp Coon and Satchel Page drop more knowledge than most people pick up all week. My words can do no justice to these two on this episode, just do what I did and sit back and let them hip you to some game. Who knows, you might come out smarter and knowing a little bit more than you knew before. Watch out for the Jackals, they bite. Peace.

When that fool said that only two things are promised in life, “Taxes and Death”, he was wrong. Another certainty is that when you combine the psychotic style of 7even:Thirty with the sinister talents of Sean Price and mix it together over the diabolic sounds of Gensu Dean whack rappers runaway and hide in their own shadows praying to every false idol they can muster up. The video for their dastardly collaborative effort “Hook Heavy” is equally menacing for cream puff, charmin extra soft emcees. The Problem, 7even:Thirty’s follow up to the critically acclaimed Heaven’s Computer, is shaping up to be the most anticipated album of the year for me. Precise and razor sharp lyrics and brash, in your face boom bap at it’s finest, meld together and form a unique weapon that would make Hattori Hanzō envious. The Problem drops on Tuesday, July 8th. You can pre-order the album at the links below. You can also pick up physical copies where ever illegal weapons are forged and/or brandished. If you are in Jackson, that place is Offbeat Art in Midtown

A couple weeks ago, I post up a video from Darya and Dama Nilz called “All The Girls”. It was featured on Darya’s latest mixtape Post Script and now we get another video dropped from the project from the track “Bed”. This time Darya is joined by Blu Mantic and Josh King in a tail of love gained, then lost, then gained, only to be lost again, and then finally to be….ummmm…gained I guess. Who knows, we’ve all been there before and most are probably in one of those stages right now. Anyway, I really like what I’m hearing. I hate to categorize, HOWEVER, Darya conjures up visions of Bay Area legend, Mystic to me. It could be vocal tones, it could be the way they both deliver in a sharp, yet melodic tone, shoot maybe I’m just crazy, who knows. Anyway, enjoy the video and download the mixtape. Stop being a jerk and act like you have a damn heart, sheesh……
