If I could capture the feeling I had when I first heard this track, I would bottle it up and sell it for millions. “Respiration” is one of those flawless songs from an era which feels like yesterday and forever ago at the same time. The remix is equally excellent, of course it is, why would it not be? Pete Rock actually invented the remix. Black Star stands as one of the most prolific releases from hip-hop’s second golden era.
