Live from the Farish street in the city of Jafrica, Skipp Coon liberates the visuals for “Blacker” from his critically acclaimed album Miles Garvey. There is nothing I can say that the video does not say on it’s own. So watch, listen, share, and repeat. If you have not purchased the album then now would be a good time to stop being a hater. You cannot hate your entire life.
Tira D spits like a woman wise beyond her years. “Lose My Mind” is the up and coming emcee’s attempt to come to grips with a broken world. Anger is the natural response to what tends to seem like hopeless situations. Tira is able to channel that hurt and angst and transform it into something else. It would be easy to lash out in anger, but if you read between the lines there is a plea for help. Help in the form of understanding, why do we hurt? Why do we suffer? What is the point? These are questions we can not possibly know the answers to but it certainly does not mean we should stop asking. For with the question eventually comes understanding and we must understand before we can become enlightened. Check out more of Tira’s music from her latest project Prelude2, link included below. Look out for her next project on Homework Town Records / Elegant Trainwreck Productions later this year.
