Marcel P Black is preparing for the release of his next project titled Cry Freedom, which will be dropped on Grand Union Media Group this Spring. The entire album is produced by Baton Rouge producer Joe on the Track. While we await for the LP, Marcel drops some visuals for the debut track from it. “Where I Stay” features North Carolina native, Substantial, and a dope Pimp C vocal sample. The beat is funky, like really funky, like the kind of funky you would play for someone and their face would stay scrunched up the entire time they listen. Marcel’s signature street meets educator meets historian style is on full display here. While Substantial provides an excellent balance with his laid back and seamless rhyming patterns. Now, join me in eager anticipation for Cry Freedom to drop.
