The video follows the trials and tribulations of Josiah as it pertains to his budding love interest Kendal. Royce Da 5’9 should not need any introduction to anyone. So it should be of no surprise that he is preparing to release his most personal project to date this year. Layers will mark his 6th solo effort and comes on the heels of the critically acclaimed collaborative effort PRhyme with DJ Premier. The album will be released on April 15th and is distributed under his own Bad Half Entertainment imprint.
The lead single from the album “Tabernacle” was dropped a couple weeks ago and the video has now followed. The song describes in detail what Royce refers to the most important day in his life. The day his son was born, he lost his grandmother, and met Eminem. Those who have followed his career know that these three events have each molded his music in different ways.
