Stimulus is a Brooklyn born rapper/dj/producer who has made some noise over the last couple years working alongside Chris Daddy Dave and Bilal to name a couple. For his newest project he channels his inner Brooklynite and takes some elements from his favorite Jimi tracks. He has crafted Stimmi Hendrix and if “Electric Land (Bklyn #1 Edit) is any indication then we will not want to miss it. While 3 Stacks will certainly garner some acclaim for his portrayal of the music legend, it is equally assured that Stimulus will make some noise. Peace.

If you were paying attention back in May, Berkeley native Stanley Ipkuss dropped .indefinite along with Ewonee the Beatnik. On the album the track “.dopesick” was a short tale about a junkie and his quest for his next fix. Here on the .dopesick [ep] Stanley expands on the story in a three part movement; part 1 – farewellz, part 2 – Spoonz, & part 3 – stoloz. The project features production by Milky Fella, Goonfish and [KSG] with DooF appearing to drop a guest verse. If you missed .indefinite then click here and pick it up
Skyzoo and Torae have recorded plenty of music together over the years, now they have come together to bring the world The Barrel Brothers. An album of non-stop hip-hop bangers only the way the duo can provide. The album dropped on May 27th, and the newest leak from the project, “All In Together” features another rap conglomerate, Random Axe, Sean Price and Guilty Simpson add vocal assistance over a beat provided by Black Milk. The track sounds like some Reasonable Doubt era Ski production, with the quadruplet of emcees drop bars upon bars. If you support hip-hop music on a whole then put your money where your mouth is and pick up The Barrel Brothers, below at the link.
JustMe (Scribbling Idiots) links up with Deacon The Villain for some hip hop martial arts. Deacon provides the instrumental back drop and hook on JustMe’s verbal onslaught. If you do not have Full Disclosure from JustMe and Illect Recordings you should check it out. It’s worth the investment. It helped me get through some tough times over the past year. I can’t wait to hear what Illect has in store with his next release.

Imperial Beats drops a fresh remix of Kanye Westenstein’s “Diamonds From Sierra Leone”. He adds a little funk and recent vocal samples from a ‘Ye interview to tie it up. Come back Kanye, we miss you…….I wonder if dude called Reggie Bush and talked to him before he…….nah…..
On September 25th, 2012 the world will bear witness to Heaven’s Computer, a conceptual offering from 7even:Thirty via Mello Music Group. The first single dropped was “Get Up” and showcased the vocal weaponry of 7even:Thirty. This time around, he brings along Kamikaze (Crooked Lettaz) and Sleepy Will to warn about the pitfalls of the so-called Hip-Hop industry, over Erik L production. Exposing the dysfunctional business ethics of a corrupted industry being pimped by corporate America. Less verbal jabs and more dropped jewels makes for a track all these upcoming, wanna-be emcees need to peep.
“I’m Posdonous with a pistol, you rappers get plugged. One” – Kamikaze
“Biggest question you should ask is, “would you do this shit for free?” – 7even:Thirty
