Jamla Records is dropping GQ’s Rated Oakland on June 24th. On the latest release GQ teams up with Nipsey Hussle and Rapper Big Pooh over some unquestionable 9th Wonder production. So after working with each other on “Jambalaya” from Pooh’s Fat Boy Fresh 3.5 last year, we get another pairing of the two. So can we get things squashed between Pooh and ‘Te? Then can we get a LB song, just a song, I can start there. Of course, I’m going to need an album after that. Just saying. Oh and grab GQ’s Rated Oakland in 2 weeks.
Mello Music Group released the new Verbal Kent album Sound Of The Weapon today. Khrysis handled the production on the project, save a remix of the title track done by 9th Wonder. Check it out below. Cop the album you won’t be disappointed. Mello Music Group is putting out some really good stuff.
JAMLA IS THE SQUAD, drops next week on January 28th. In anticipation 9th recruits some of the Hip-Hop world’s best spittas over some classic Khrysis musical melodies. So soulful, so excellent, so Hip-Hop. Just when one can lose their mind over another Trinidad James track dropping, we get some redemption like this.
Jamla is the Squad! drops next month and 9th Wonder and Rapsody drop another gem to get you prepared. A little different side of 9th on the beat and Rap rides the hell out of it. Rapsody is a serious force who will need to be reckoned with. Unfortunately when people see or hear a female emcee they always group them in the same category. Nobody likes to remember when Roxanne Shante, MC Lyte and the Queen were ripping microphones. They want their female rappers to be Nicki and Kim, but nah, give me Rapsody or Invincible any day.
That damn Pimp Trick Gangsta Click album….I wish there was a wack music police department….I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wanted to see another LB album, and I know the U.S.S.R. is more likely to invade the Rocky Mountains just north of Denver than to see it, but still I can dream can’t I? At least these cats are all still doing their own thing. Raise you hand if you knew “Speed” had a video? Bueller? Bueller? Shout out to Big Dho getting his Bill Duke on….
Charity Starts at Home is available TODAY! That’s right these bars and many more are available for your copage right away…..so do that….
