Reach Record’s artist Andy Mineo released his project Never Land this week. On first single from it “You Can’t Stop Me” Andy recognizes that he’s the only person who can stop him. Since I discovered Mineo’s music a few months ago, one thing I’ve noticed is that his lyrics are refreshingly honest. Even when he’s bragging, his vulnerability is there for everyone to see.
Andy Mineo is a Christian artist on Reach Records. “Tug of War” is an intimate look at a believer who is struggling with his duty to God and his weakness of flesh. Mineo attacks the track with the with the wisdom of a sage yet the vulnerability of a man. Strange Music’s Krizz Kaliko delivers on the hookThanks to Ulogy (Vintage Noize) for pointing this album out to me. Andy Mineo’s album Heroes For Sale came out this year on Reach Records, the home of Lecrae, KB, Trip Lee and others. It is a very solid effort, the Brooklyn emcee shows a generous amount of maturity as well as the very personal side of being a Christian. If you have the time I suggest giving the album below a whirl.
