Announcing The Fourth Installment of Jackson, Mississippi’s Record Convention, 4 The Record!
JACKSON, Miss. — 4 the Record, Jackson, Mississippi’s premier record swap is returning to the North Midtown Arts Center this fall for another day of music, art, fun, and celebration of everything vinyl.
4 The Record! is a record swap meet that will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 3rd at the North Midtown Arts Center on 121 Millsaps Avenue, in the historic Millsaps Arts District in Jackson, MS. 4 the Record! 4 will feature raffles, special sets from some of Jackson’s best DJs, beverages and local food for sale, and vendors from as far away as Dallas, Texas and Oklahoma City.
Sellers can set up tables for $20 and must register early with a $10 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot. Artists, photographers, etc. are also encouraged to set up tables to display and sell their work. Non-profit organizations will have their registration fee waived.
A cover of $4 will be charged to the public. Admission is free for children who are under 12 and supervised by an adult.
4 the Record! is an event to help promote and preserve the unique culture and community that surrounds vinyl records. Collectors, DJs, audiophiles, hipsters, crate diggers, and every kind of music lover in between is encouraged to come out and bring records to sell, trade, or just show off. This is also a perfect opportunity to dust off those old collections in the attic that are looking for new homes.
