D.O., or Defy The Odds as he’s also known, might sound familiar to you. He’s the 2003 Guinness Record holder for longest freestyle, 9 HOURS!! He hails from Toronto, Canada and is also the head of the Northstarr record label. He’s got a new single out produced by Classified and featuring Joell Ortiz and Saukrates called “Capture The Moonlight”. Between this and the Shad joint from earlier, it’s feeling like Canada day up in here. Good music all around.

Slaughterhouse has announced their Glasshouse Tour will start in March and a new album is on the way too. Just Blaze let this little gem drop that he and Cardiak co-produced together. Just Blaze is executive producing the album which will feature production from DJ Premier, Illmind and some other guys.

I’m a sucker for Hip Hop songs that are heart-felt and about real life situations. Just like “Reunion” by Slum Village and “One Life” by The Last Emperor, “Move On” by Slaughterhouse is a song about real life by 4 of the industries hottest emcees. And since I’m a Eminem + Royce Da 5’9 fan, it’s dope to hear Royce put his heart and mind out there like that. I’m excited to see what Shady does with Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf. If you haven’t picked it up, I suggest you run out and grab the new Slaughterhouse E.P., it’s got a real Boom Bap feel to it………
