Word to Vlade Divac!

The NBA is in discussions to penalize players for flopping. According to an interview with David Stern, the league is thinking about penalizing players for flopping once game film has been viewed. Can you imagine this back in the 90’s? Divac would probably have been banished from the league for his play. I remember on multiple occasions seeing the Lakers play and being astonished by the blatant flopping by Vlade. His acting was often found amusing by his teammates, who would laugh or hide their heads in their towels. Fast forward 10 years or so and it’s become an epidemic, teams teach flopping, players perfect the art just as they would the fade-away or cross-over. Referees seem dumbfounded by these plays as well. I for one am glad the league is looking in to it. What started out as a funny and harmless thing has perverted into something of a nuisance which has gone way overboard.
