Visual treatment for V. Nova’s “Abstract Art” from his HIPS3 album. Tek and Steele aka Smif-N-Wessun, appear alongside the Brooklyn emcee. Showcasing hip-hops 4 elements in the video, V. Nova pays homage to the history of the music while bringing along a couple of veterans to round the song out. Keep the art alive!
Tek and Steele’s 1995 album Dah Shinin’ is nothing short of a classic record from raps second golden era. Duck Down was the label and the Boot Camp was the Click. “Wreckonize” was the third single to drop from the album and featured production from Baby Paul of Da Beatminerz. The Grover Washington/Bill Withers sample was flipped just right here and Tek and Steele lay their vocals flawlessly.
