New Orleans rapper, Truth Universal has been a main stay in The Big Easy for more than a decade. In October he released Invent The Future, a collection of classic boom bap style tracks. He reminds me of an updated J Sands (Lone Catalyst), not necessarily in imitation but in the way they both flow over tracks coupled with positive and uplifting lyrical content. “Motivated” is a great representation of the project.
